Associated Outcomes: Research shows that managers who employ
facilitating
approaches have a constructive impact and those who employ
inhibiting
approaches have a defensive impact on others’ behavior. Given that
the performance of managers ultimately depends upon the quality of the
performance of the people around them, facilitating managers are generally more
effective than those who are inhibiting.
